Compressing PDFs

If your PDF has a lot of images and charts, the file size can end up being quite large. Fortunately, PDF Potion comes with an option to compress your PDFs.

To compress your PDF, simply set the 'Compress' field to 'yes' in the 'Create PDF' workflow action.

It's always worth experimenting before making a decision on whether or not you need to compress your PDFs. Setting the 'Compress' field to 'yes' will reduce the file size, but this may also have a (small) impact on the quality of your PDF.

Note: the compression will have the biggest impact on PDFs that contain a lot of images/charts. The impact will not be as significant, if your PDF is mainly composed of text elements.
